I HATE stubbed fingers. How irritating can they get laaaaa. Stupid thing aches all the time, hurts when I try to bend it, and is now swollen to twice its usual size. STUPID STUBBED LITTLE FINGER.

Oh well. Tomorrow's labor day! Finally I don't have to get up at 5.30am. Haiyo.

But I'm going to be like supersupersuper bored haiz. Failzxc luh.

See how it goes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIA GRAZIA LEE. :D

15 years old huh? I feel old now, thanks so very much D: Just joking hee. It's been great knowing you this while, ever since we started chionging for nationals and I went to NJC. Although I don't know you that well... but still. No big difference (: I pray that you'll keep growing in Him and be a person after His heart. Continue to jump your heart out and don't ever be discouraged! Chase the dream, not the competition (oh I love this motto).

Zomg this birthday post is so sadly shortshortshort! D: Sorry LOL. Ah wells. I hope you don't forget mine xD Looking forward to training with you guys again (: So yeap once again; HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU!

Cheers. (:

05051993. Mark that date, will you?

And if you're puzzled, go figure.
It's at these kind of times that I see how selfish people are you know :/ Sometimes like. Something happens, and you see that people are not as perfect as you thought they were. But that's when you learn to love them all the more.

Cheem much, but yeah true. (:

More books new books free books YAY.

I'm going to become a bookworm for the next few days =\

And I want to learn blading! (HINTHINT)

Okay ttyl seeeya.

Friday, April 24, 2009

Okay, so maybe we didn't win anything. So maybe we've been torn through by injuries. But so WHAT? :D Raffles Track and Field ftw (:

Can you believe them, they actually didn't even ask me if I wanted to buy the track tee. Haiz.. Made me feel damn bad luh.

Anyway track and field finals were... not that exhilarating except for maybe the 800m B Girls and definitely the 1500m A Guys. Bernice Clara then Nat, I don't think many people expected that to be the result, haha. And A guys swept 1500! The end was like super drama luh; Adriel burnt to the end and then was gonna win when Hua Qun accidentally knocked into him and they both went sprawling. Adriel still won though, by 0.05s.

And then 800m was some pro race luh. Clara burnt Nat, then Berenice burnt her, and then Clara tried to burn Berenice again before Berenice beat her with another burn. Crazy finishing man.

Too bad Leeni was injured, we could actually see him limping towards the end of his 1500m race. And he still continued. GREAT SPIRIT MAN. :D

But oh wells, we didn't get anything, although RJC got a double (PROS LAH). Girls beat VJC by 68 points leh omg. But guys beat VJC by only 3 points haha. Fiona Ng can you please tell me how you run so fast? D: The girls got like, 10 out of a possible 16 golds. Crazy right. Not to mention how many other medals. Although guys swept like quite a few podiums for the long distance events.

SOMEONE was being a total hypocrite luh, just because Yeong Yang pissed him off -.- He saw me playing with a football and he's like, "Your lack of dedication is going to cost you." What the hell? Firstly, season's over. Secondly, I can do whatever I want and it's none of his business. Thirdly, HE DOES OTHER STUFF TOO SO WHY CAN'T I PLAY SOCCER. And his reply to that was that "I GOT TWO MEDALS OKAY" Yeah right so getting two medals lets you be an obnoxious irritating pain-in-the-ass hypocrite? Please la, if that's the way it is, I'd rather not get a single medal at all.

And then after the whole thing we took a chartered bus to Park Mall. Which Chern Hwee and Nat and a couple of other rgs peoples koped too. Leaving the rest of their teammates to suffer. xD There was some trouble at the restaurant about whether it was Halal (which it was) but some of us didn't want to eat there so they went to Fish & Co. instead. And thanks luh Hao Zhi, you never save me a seat so I sat with the girls. Not my fault kay. D: But they're totally crazy. In a good sense (: At least they agree with me that someone's gay!

RI Track and Field team'08 WERE WE MAKING A HUGE RUCKUS IN SWENSENS? >_> Never mind don't remind me heh.

Anyway Derek and Leeni were super irritated with the people who pang-sehed. Haiyo. But it was damn fun luh (: I'm glad I went for it. But we only started eating at 9 LOL. So by the time we finished it was 10+ and then I reached home at 10.45 or something like that. We should do this more luhhh.

SORRY GUYS this time no videos/pictures, my camera died on me couple of months ago. ):

BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO START TRAINING AGAIN. Four times a week ftw.

Chase the dream, not the competition. Raffles track and field FTW <3

Chase the dream, not the competition;

That's the way it should be.

And that's the way I'm doing it.

Watch THIS.

Completely took me by surprise. It goes to show we should never; NEVER take a book by its cover. Wonderful stuff, it brought tears to my eyes at the end of the show.

She never expected it to happen; just went out there and gave it a shot, and she deserves the reward for her courage and her God-given talent. Praise Him!

Rachel, Rachel. I really really REALLY hope you're okay. ): Cheer up okay?
Well I'm bored.

UNAGI.

:D

Okay bye.

Yay. I'm just going to do one SUPER quick post now.

CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA, JOCELYN AND CHRISTINE. Great that you all got pbs and well, haha the silver medal makes it all the more sweeter eh, Amanda? But seriously I'm glad you guys did well in your last year. And I'm sure Coach was also really really happy for you guys. :D

Not to mention A Division 5000m got a RJC CLEAN SWEEP. For the win man woohoo.

And THANK YOU LORD for answering my prayers. Although not all the people did very well, most of them still got through to the semis and well, it's thanks to You! PRAISE THE LORD (:

Joshua, so you're gonna become a girl and learn triple jump eh? JIAYOU ;D

Lit presentation tomorrow =\ I hope I don't screw up! (: Lord BE WITH ME PLEASE.

Okay I really got to go now; I'm too bored to even think of anything to post! Hee. Ciao, (:

Monday, April 13, 2009

Well. Today wasn't too bad in the end. Woke at ughhhh 6 to get ready for Nationals at CHOA CHU KANG D: At 9.15. Got there on time, warmed up blahblah. Then went to the call room. Which was like super freaking cold. They made us wait in there how long la! Before going out to the pits; like when we were having practice jumps my run up was supersuper screwed! And then I move back two steps and it's fine =\

But HAIZ what a waste; all three of my jumps weren't fouls but were JUST behind the qualifying mark. By maybe 6cm or so. Pfffft. But oh well with 2 months of training and no competition experience, what could I really hope for? 5.24 was a good jump (: And I really wanna thank Syafiq, Cal, Xiang Di, Maria, Joshua, Joel, Cheng Yi, Steph Lee, Steph Tang, Amanda, Charlotte, Shaun, Rachel, Yi Ying, Rebekah, Rachel, Grace, Joelle, Kim, and whoever else prayed for me/wished me good luck. Love you guys. (: I promise I won't just stop working hard for jumps, my desire is burning stronger than ever. And I really REALLY want to thank God for well, just being there with me today. Thank you. ((: You know, I realise my parents didn't even wish me good luck, didn't even ask me how I did. You know, I realise my bro didn't even KNOW I was in JUMPS! What in the world. I love my friends.

And now I'm moving on. I wanna train super hardcore. I wanna hit 6 by June. I wanna improooooove. And I'm sure Mr. Lim will be there to help me. :D

Gratz to Lemuel and Syafiq for owning everybody xD And well, to Maria and Joshua, GOOD TRY BUT THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR :D

Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next
What happens next;

And a nice little edit right here. Or maybe NOT nice. My parents are totally refusing to let me go to church camp. They want me to concentrate on my STUPID studies; as if trying to study (and failing) at the start of a super long break will benefit me more than going for church camp and learning about God and about all the stuff lined up for the youths. As if trying to study (and failing) at the start of a super long break will benefit me more than fellowship with my friends. As if I WILL EVEN BOTHER TO STUDY AT THE START OF A LONG BREAK. Sheeeesh. And what's more I don't think church will even be OPEN! Because everyone who slacks in church and well, the people who are in charge of the church WILL BE AT CAMP. Sian. I'm going to die during the June holidays.

PLEASE GOD, PLEASE OPEN UP MY PARENTS' HEARTS SO THAT THEY'LL ALLOW ME TO GO FOR CHURCH CAMP so that I may learn more about You and have a good time of fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ Lord.
I KNOW YOU MAY NOT DESIRE IT LORD, but if You really don't plan on me going for chuch camp Lord, let me understand Your reasons and my parents' reasons and help me find PEACE Lord. Rain down Your love on me Lord, and cleanse my envy; my jealousy; my anger; my bitterness. I don't want to be angry Lord, it's a lousy feeling and it makes me feel lost, Lord. Protect me from it, be my shield and my strength in times of need, and help me UNDERSTAND, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

Sunday, April 12, 2009

Yay. Today was actually quite.. normal! Hahaha.

Service in the morning, didn't really pay attention (SORRY =\) But haha Steph was being so super random. So we uh, played tictactoe and created this really cooooooool story about cookies and fats and random things. Haha. Then after that small group was relatively quiet, before going down to youth lounge and slackingslackingslacking. I was waiting for Yi Ying's usher debrief to end lor! So it's like it ended and I went out and I see Benji dragging her away to some place. So I assume they went to eat but they're not at the hawker center! So like, Rachel's SG saw me stoning around there waiting for Yi Ying's reply to my sms (which never came) and they invited me to join them. THEY'RE LIKE SUCH GREAT AND NICE AND AWESOME PEOPLE LA. Rachel Koh you had better see this. LOL. After And then they chased us out of church early =\ They were like cleaning up the youth lounge and converting it into some study area for youths. And they removed the pool and foosball and table tennis tables! D: Oh well. Shakila invited a whole ton of people to her house for lunch next week! Yay. (: And Jazlyn is like super funny luh xD

But that wasn't the main point of my blogpost today. The main point is... (drumroll)

OHMYGOSSSSHHHHHHHH TOMORROW'S NATIONALS LONG JUMP UGGHHHH. I just hope I can qualify. So yeah just a quick prayer.

Lord, I thank you for blessing me with this chance to represent my school Father. I thank you that you've given me the ability to jump and I thank you for opening up the hearts of my teachers and coaches to have faith in me Lord. I pray that You'll be with me during the competition Lord, and I pray that You will send Your Holy Spirit and drive all demons out of me Lord. Lord I'm nervous, I'm worried that I won't do well, I'm scared I'll flunk something. But Lord I know that these things don't matter when I am in Your presence. So be with me, heavenly Father, and be the wind under my wings. Be my supporting rod, my unwavering pillar of strength. Nothing, NOTHING is impossible with You Lord. Heavenly Father I pray that You'll give me the strength to wake up on time; Lord I pray that You'll bless the competition venue with the blood of our Saviour. Lord I also pray for my teammates and my friends, whoever's going to be competing across the period of the competition Lord, regardless of whether they believe in You or not, bless them Father, because I know You love all of us equally. I'd like to pray for Joshua, Amanda, Christine, Jocelyn, Joel, Elisa, Jing Long, Calvin, Jun Rui, Kar Min, Said, Sean, Jia Xuan, Ying Hui, Natalie, Clara, Wayne, Chern Hwee, Derek, Guan Lin, Cheryl, Debby, Hao Zhi, Joeline, Zara, Jiya, Kieran, Kimberly, Amanda, Syafiq, Rachel, Samuel, Symone, Jing Heng, Zhi Yuan, YING and whoever else I may have left out who are competing. Lord rain your everlasting grace down on us, be with me when I'm competing Lord, because I'm wanna do it for you Lord. Lord I lift us all up into Your hands; all this in Jesus's most precious, most wonderful name I pray, AMEN!

And so now I go forth, without fear, without insecurity, without worry, for He loves me. Bring Interschool Track and Field Nationals on! :D I'm READY ARGGHHHHH. Let's GO. Guys who see this: pray for me too kay! <3 style="font-style: italic;">I can do anything
I can do all things
Cause it's You who gives me strength

Nothing is impossible
Through You blind eyes are opened
Strongholds are broken
I am living my fate
Nothing is impossible!

Friday, April 10, 2009

Yeahhh today rocked hahahha. Training first thing in the morning; I got up at like 7.30 so I was super freaked: Training was at Choa Chu Kang and it was going to start at 8! :O So super rush like siao before chionging out of the house to get a cab. Burnt 20 bucks laaaa feel my pain Mr. Vincent Quek. Or maybe not. Haha.

Anyway the NJ girls trained with us today although it was really very slack; just did run up and a few jumps. I did a 5.3! (Actually 5.7 if you only take the foot mark, but I fell on me bum. My bum is too big. :D) So yeah hopefully I'll qualify for long jump finals whee.

Then Nicholas' mom gave me a lift to Tampines where I waited for 21 for 10 minutes. They really should reduce the interval between SBS bus services. Hahhaa. Church for TGIGF; but before that lunched with Amanda/Rachel/Daphne, who brought their friends Laeticia, Annunciata and Vanessa for TGIGF. Haiyo but all of my friends felt toooooo paiseh to come down and visit tsk. Rachel eats SUPER SLOW :D And then TGIGF! Victoria was teaching Clarice a choreo for PCD. But yeah went up to the chapel and saw Chengyi uhm. Having fun but failing at Snorta ;D (But apparently she started winning after awhile; gratz you :D) And then we played Team Citadels! Which we won :D Total pwnage hehe. And then Bohnanza and then Taboo. Super random games luh :D THE BANDS ROCKED TODAY YEAHHH.

And then this movie screening of Lay It Down. As an evangelical message thingy, it's fine, but as a movie honestly I don't find it very great. Even the storyline. But I shan't be a critic now. Go read IBE, quote Algernon in his 'discussion' with Jack. But you know how usually evangelical movies will slowly give you God's word, or work it into the storyline smoothly like Facing the Giants or Fireproof? This one totally smacks you in the face =\ But I guess it's okay luh.

Then sermon on the importance of Good Friday; I can't say I really support the speaker's style; cause well he sounded like he was trying to instil fear in us. And well I don't see how that's supposed to work. Especially since so many of the people there were newcomers to church. He made it sound quite directed at the believers only. But nobody I know was affected so oh wells. After TGIGF went downstairs to play pool and tabletennis. Today was a lousy day (: Like, Elisha was seriously overly irritating today; I'm not sure why. I just felt very lousy. Oh well. Thanks Chengyi Steph Amanda Rachel and Rebekah for being concerned. I'm fine (:

Then 'dinner' with the peoples; they were talking about the most RANDOM things ever haha. Then after dinner Steph and Chengyi were uh, debating, about whether she should take a lift home from either me or them. Steph lost in the end haha. So yeah I'm back home.

Anybody wanna movie on Sunday? xD AND MY DAD BOUGHT ELECTRONIC MONOPOLY. Imma play now cya ;D

/EDIT/
Chengyi, Electronic monopoly, not electric monopoly. It's like a version where everything is 100x more valuable literally, like instead of being 4k for the last space, it's 4million. And well because it represents modern society, there are CASHCARDS! :D So cool right. And the transfers are done electronically through some cooolio machine. Hahahahhaa. Super fun. :D

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Today was super funny! Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Tan were absent... so NO PROPER LESSON FOR THE FIRST TWO PERIODS! Well. There was a relief teacher for English, but he's a waste of time. Nobody pays attention, the only parts I'm paying attention are when I'm reading the articles, and I just felt like falling asleep the other parts.

Then after recess we had Bio, which was as fun as usual, before everyone started hoping thinking praying that there wouldn't be a relief invigilator for Lit Essay. But there was in the end D: Our hopes were up for like 10 minutes and our nerves were being shattered repeatedly looking at which teachers might be taking us. In the end she backstabbed us by coming from 4C. -.- Anyway Lit essay was surprising good for someone who did it impromptu. At least I get that feeling. Hehe. Assembly was uh. Cool. And when I shared with everybody my secret formula for penalty stopping (which is the believe that you can do it) everyone was like WHOOAAAA. And Jasdeep sent me an SMS saying, "So pro." What in the world man... -.-

And then after school a bit of soccer before going to NJC for training! :D Saw Chern Hwee there ._. Anyway the NJC people rock luh, they're super nice (: Except for in-a-rush-ballboy-for-AJCvsNJC. Haiyo him ah, people help him take ball still say HURRY UP HURRY UP. I'm never helping them take again ;D But jumps was super fun. I jumped until 8pm zomg! So did Jocelyn and Christine haha. And I'm sure I didn't realise they were twins =\ JOSHUA is super funny luh! Like I think I can talk to him for hours on end and still not stop. And then there's Cycle guy, Joel. Who is pro-er than me. :D And Liang Jie's friend haha. And Syafiq was suaning Maria by pronouncing her name wrong at the start. Lols man. Yeahh my hipping is correct whee. I didn't dare try to do elbow freezes cause Wen Loong was there >_> Scary man. Hahahhaa. And the other trackers were like, what's so amazing about that, he's just a showoff. And I'm like WHAT?! It's crazy! Different ways of appreciating stuff haha.

And why does everyone follow what Syafiq does! D: Evil leh. Like when I'm going to jump Syafiq starts clapping. Then Xiangdi, Lemuel and Nick start clapping too. And then the girls start clapping. Make me laugh halfway through my run up leh! Then after I jump go, "WAAAAA SIAOOO." -.- Pfffft. But oh well I had a good workout and I nearly worked out my leg extension so yeahhh I'm contented. I HAVE TO REMEMBER TO ARCH MY BACK. Coach says if I do I might just hit 5.5m for Nationals. LET'S GO. NJC lost to AJC 1-0 by the way; they had their chances but finishing wasn't great so too bad (: I wanna watch the RJNJ match ;D

I'm never going to hear the end from Fiq tomorrow. Cause he saw me getting a lift from Joce's mom even though I just got to know them. >_>

ZOMG I CALLED THEIR BROTHER UNCLE. D: D: D: SO PAISEH. Cause he was sitting in front and I didn't know they had an older brother and my natural reaction was to say hi Aunty hi Uncle. Which I did. And suddenly all of them started laughing. >_> No need to say why, heh.

Anyway they're great people ;D Hope I'll get to train with them again someday hahahaha.

TGIGF IS JUST ROUND THE CORNER... D: And nobody wants to come haiz. Anyway can't force them; I just hope the people who do come will be impacted in some way. Please let it happen God; do Your work through TGIGF and the people planning it. (: Light training tomorrow and NAPFA preparation hee. Gonna be funzxc.

And then watching TGIGF practice at night! Ciaos :D

OH WAIT. I nearly forgot D: Shak's birthday post!

HEYY SHAK YOU'RE 16! Or at least, you'll be 16 tomorrow. Congratulations on being able to enter the cinemas for Slumdog Millionaire :D Anyway I reallyreallyreally do hope you have a great one (: It's not everyday somebody turns sixteen years old. Or maybe it is. I'll correct my statement; it's not everyday that YOU turn sixteen years old! So treasure it dear (: It won't ever come back once it's gone ;D

Thanks for being such a great person to be around! (: It's been fun knowing you; and I really do hope you continue to grow in Him and follow His path. I'm sure he'll bless you plentiful. All the best for the rest of the year! And of course, jiayou for O-levels :DD Happy birthday (:

Lovex, David (:

Literature Timed Essay TOMORROW D: And I haven't done anything to prepare for it. Haiz.

I'll either crap something and live/die or photocopy Zit's notes and live. :D I think I'll go for the latter =\

Zomg I'm so bored I have nothing to post!

Siannn. Anyway training today was super tiring uh. Did all the stretches, there's now a new-and-improved PAGE TWO! =\ Hahhaa. And then did the speed drill where you lift your knee, step on the floor then go back to push up position. I did 78! :D Surprisingly I beat Syafiq. Like wthell mannnnn. And after that did 9 Step, improved by about a meter? (: Good day today anyway.

Zomg I better try and do a bit of lit or else I'll die tomorrow. Ciao.

Friday, April 3, 2009

I shall fast forward today cause nothing much happened. Until training. Where I MANAGED TO HOLD A HANDSTAND FOR 5 SECONDS. Yay me.

Jumping for All Comers tomorrow, pray for me peoples! (: I hope I do well.

PL owned ACS(B) upside down during the debate today. I.E. ACS(B) shot themselves in the foot when they defined 'impose' as 'use political and international pressure to pressure people'. Motion was THW impose democracy on developing nations, btw. But yeah I'm glad PL won, cause ACS(B) had nothing but style. (: I mean, what's the most common use of impose? Impose a law right! Which means... enforcing a law! Tadaa.

Anyway, the whole debate was basically whether it was a principle or policy debate. Which apparently is not the way it should have been taken. Why does democracy work in all the advanced nations of the world? Because their people understand the ideas that democracy embodies and they are willing to fight for a sustainable government through democracy. However, imposing democracy on a politically immature nation would not only fall short in terms of implementation, but also violate their sovereign rights. Will infringing on these rights solve human rights problems? See the contradiction. If the people of a nation decide to revolt against a monarchy or a dictatorship, they have seen the need for freedom of speech and basic human rights, i.e. they understand what entails democracy and a willing to fight for it, thus they have matured to grasp the needs of democracy.

Major communist countries view democracy as a form of Western colonialism, thus they decide on a different way. There are of course different ways to skin a cat. And this comes back to the chicken and egg problem. Impose democracy first and then let them evolve, or let them evolve before attaining their own independence.

Sovereignity of nations means that other countries are in no real position whatsoever to impose themselves onto other countries and decide on which government they should use. However, this statement by Barker basically undermines their whole argument, because by imposing democracy you are making a stand and interfering with another countries' business.

Anyway judges comments: Should not pigeonhole the debate into policy against principle; make it broader and not so confined. Attack arguments instead of retreating into technicalities, and if you want to challenge the definition, do it clearly and make your stand at the start of the debate, so it's clear to everyone. Although must hit technical side, but must also argue persuasively to convince. And according to the judges, that's where PL won the debate.

Gratz PL peoples. (:

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Today was one of the most awesome-est days ever. Or at least April Fool's Day ever.

Like, we decided to prank Mr. Koh with Operation Siak. And we got Her Majesty to aid us in our endeavor! She actually let us do it lol, like, "You know if I were to choose between fun guys and good guys, I'd choose fun guys?" And uh like, "We teachers have always played pranks on you boys but you boys never return the favor!" Or something along that line. So we decided to well. Do something!

So Jasdeep went to type out these notices about Interschool Debates Rooms, and posted them up on the doors of certain classrooms:

Outside our class "Debates Room 3; 4A has been moved to Seminar Room 3, sorry for the inconvenience."

Outside Seminar Room 3 "Debates Room 2; 4A has been moved to SR 07-01 (The highest level in our school)

Outside SR 07-01 "Debates Room 1; 4A has been moved to SR 02-08 (The room furthest away from the lift)

And on that door... "HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY MR. KOH!!! By 4A!!! :D"

TOTAL OWNAGE RIGHT?

But it fell through =\ Johnson decided to go up and he got caught by Mr. Koh and we think he saboed us and in the end Mr. Koh didn't see the last note and he LOOKED angry and he shouted at us and all. But halfway through the lesson I asked him, "Sir, were you really angry at us just now?" And he was smiling! xD What a great guy. Which gave Jasdeep the courage to tell me to run all the way to 02-08 and get the notice, which he hadn't seen. HAHAHHAHA. He saw it in the end.

But it was a great prank, we were all slacking blahblah. Wasted what, 12 minutes of his time. He took back nearly 20 of ours. =\ But it was worth it! Three cheers for Mr. Koh for being SUCH A SPORT YEAHH.

Anyway after that, Literature was okay. WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THE PRESENTATION. Which means we have more time to prepare ;D And comic opera is lame, there are parts that have to be sung haiz. Oh well.

Training was... okay. They were ripping up the long jump pit D: Renovations finally started, and uh well. We won't be able to train jumps for quite some time in RJC. But I tried high jump, and I can clear 145cm! Yay whoopee. LOL.

And then after that strengthening, then played soccer with NP and sports. KEEPING WAS TOTALLY OWNAGE TODAY. Great saves during recess, great saves after CCA. It was a dream. Pinch me. But if it hurts, we're untouchable during interclass ;D

Okay gotta go prep for lit somemore. Seeya later alligator. (:

P.S. LOL JIA XING IS LIKE SUPER DESPO. If anybody wants to know more about this. Please do ask me on msn. :D :D :D

P.S.S And uh, Cheng Yi why does your ipod run out of battery so quickly!!! D: Haha, oh well it's better than nothing thanks (: Hope you guys had a great practice today haha, I can't wait for TGIGF. God bless us please ;D

Now. Ciao. Rhyme. xD
