5 Stations =D

w00t My 5 stations were dam fun ^^ But I n00ber than Stephen... T-T

I guess I didn't do that badly for this year.. At least I improved for most of the stations. I'm happiest with my standing broad jump haha -- improved from a C to an A! I have realised that not building up is better for me.. weird -.-

I'm happy with my sit ups =) 60 isn't a bad number, ain't it? I strove on to get there coz I thought it was a nice number. Although A is 43. OVERKILL!! xD I was damn scared before I started coz I hadn't practiced for like, half a year, so I though I would be rusty.. But it all turned out fine ;P

Sit and reach 47 cm nia.. Is that good? Wasn't much of an overkill.. A was 43 cm. Oh well.

My shuttle run deproved...... boohoo. 9.7 seconds from last year's 9.6 (which also means I'm not top of the class anymore T-T) Jech is. Gratz. (I must improve..) My first run was crap, coz my shoe was extremely low-friction. Then I wore Tim's badminton shoes... And slipped out of them. xD But after I tightened them = 9.7 seconds! An A at the very least.

I love my inclined pull ups! I did 45, which is 2 less than Stephen by the way. Which means I lifted about 53*45 = 2385kg (which is more than Adi's 640kg) Another A cleared ^^

NOW FOR THE 2.4! BRING IT ON.

On a sidenote: I went to the NS40 Open House today. And they had this place where they ask you to do sit ups or chin ups. And you can win prizes. So I tried out the sit ups and did 58! Not bad considering my stomach area was still sore from the 60 I did. Top scorer that day! ^^

Badminton Finals!

Went to the C-div badminton finals today (so we pon school) xD But that's beside the point..

We WON (RGS also)! Raffles 3-2 Boon Lay.. ^^ Jey-Sng total ownage la. Elvis also.. but then they dam bad to Ben lor.. go use him as cannon fodder against their strongest player. Nvm got good experience =)

Their imports quite good, but Roy could've won his match. He put up a spirited fight but succumbed in the last set. T^T

Then Raffles doubles go own Boon Lay like siao. w00t. They hardly put up a fight against the teams haha ^^

Then Elvis at the end go totally PWN their player. So at first we thought would end early.. but got prize presentation =.= The trophies are dam big la.

Ohya.. we were being dam funny during the last 2 matches. Whenever Raffles go smash then we go shout go scare the opponents. LOL.

Then afterwards we got dam long lunch so there! ^^

SHUT UP!

Guys, if you can't do anything but tear people down, just shut up. It doesn't feel very good, and after awhile it starts to get sickening. You wouldn't want it if people keep on insulting you and calling you names. Just try to feel how I feel, and maybe you wouldn't be so crapped up and insult people.

So if you can't talk about people in a good way just SCREW OFF. I don't need anymore FUCKING comments from what I get in my school from my classmates. SHADDUP.

Just wanted to record a poem I felt was good. From Homeland by R.A Salvatore:

What eyes are these that see
The pain I know in my innermost soul?
What eyes are these that see
The twisted strides of my kindred,
Led on in the wake of toys unbridled:
Arrow, bolt and sword tip?

Yours... aye, yours,
Straight run and muscle spring,
Soft on padded paws, sheathed claws,
Weapons rested for their need,
Stained not by frivolous blood
Or murderous deceit.

Face to face, my mirror,
Reflection in a still pool by light.
Would that I might keep that heart
Within my breast untainted.

Hold tight to the proud honor of your spirit,
Mighty Guenhwyvar,
And hold tight to my side,
My dearest friend.

--Drizzt Do'Urden (R.A. Salvatore)

Inspiration

A few quotes I find very meaningful:

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you have ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that come along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Inspirational, are they not?

P.S. Thanks Mr. Law!

Crime Scene Investigation in LIFE

Today was dam crazy la. Something like CSI going on in class xD

You know, the usual crime scene investigation: interrogations, suspects, re-enactments, forensics, prosecutions, confessions, blah blah blah. Ok, so maybe the last few parts were not so prominent.. but still there's the similarity! =D

More similarities coming up: The victim is a rich person who suspects people without evidence. I shall not reveal his name as the subject is under 18 (or maybe he doesn't deserve to have a place on my blog). The suspect(s), who all have a perfectly sound alibi, are innocent bystanders framed by some criminal mastermind, and interrogations are made in private. Can you still deny that today was not a crime scene investigation?

But there are major differences: The motto for this court of law is "guilty until proven innocent", much unlike the proverbial "innocent until proven guilty". I mean, how can an innocent suspect ever hope to find the culprit and prove his innocence?

The verdict would come out tomorrow.. while the victim wishes for his losses to be reimbursed. I mean, come on.. he's worth close to a billion dollars ONLY! Oh yea, another point: The accused believes that not only ONE person is involved in the crime, a whole GANG is. o.0 Riiight.

I do think Wen Zheng's friends (namely everyone else) would love to uphold justice and stand by his side. We are insanely outraged, you realize??!! As Wen Zheng said, "Drop the case la, ______." Which he did. Literally.

I'm still sick, by the way. But I shall make it to school tomorrow to show some camaraderie and take the TA. =.= I need some SLEEP.. did you know I slept at around 10 last night and I'm still exhausted? I mean, there almost totally no difference in energy level haiz...

Oh, and Rye called me emo today. I wonder whether I should be happy or enraged or crazy or sad or tired. Hmm...

Night!

Rugby for PE =.=

This year's rugby module did not live up to my expectations. All we did was scrums, and a bit of fake tag rugby, then we progressed immediately onto "modified" 7-a-side contact. =.= We did not even learn: line-outs, hand-offs, passing, kicking and so on.. Even tackling and scrumming practice was inadequate. In addition to that, the games were very disorganized. Many people were not interested in playing so the game literally broke down.. And then the few enthu people were left solo-ing the whole pitch. =.=

I think our batch is the most unlucky one -- the previous and current batch all learned tag rugby in Sec 1, so they could immediately progress to contact but due to a shortage of facilities, we did not learn tag rugby when we were Sec 1. Haiz.. T^T But never mind, I look forward to playing softball, even if rugby was a bit short.. Softball should be fun!

Asthma SUCKS

Sheesh.. I just realized how bad my asthma has gotten. =.= I can hardly play soccer without breathing difficulties.. haiz. Looks like I can't go for rugby training tomorrow then.. =(

But let's stop whining! Lol just now I accidentally kicked my soccer ball and it hit the tiling of the walkway =X I must definitely practice my free kicks.. dun wan that to happen during the interclass soccer tournament! Oh yea, I leveled twice in RuneScape today HAHA. I noe I'm damn lame, playing this game, but I'm boliao la.. Nothing to do realli.

That's it for today.. Nitezzz

Easter!

Easter! Today's church was extremely funny lol.. The pastor went to shave his head so as to demonstrate the meaning of total change. A story: When Jesus was resurrected, Mary of Magdala did not recognize him until he spoke. The same went for our pastor this morning. xD He shaved off all of his facial hair then nobody recognized him diao. =.= Moreover when he said that we should reflect Jesus' actions then he cracked a corny joke about him reflecting more than others. =.= =.= He then said something about us going through transformation during baptism and so on.. I still don't understand some parts -- too cheem xD

Well... we went for lunch. And then I stay home play computer games lalala... ^^

Rye wants me to be less boliao on my blog o.0 Like, write emo poems and pen (type) down emo thoughts. =.= Maybe when I have nothing to do next time la. Right now its perfectly fine using it as a diary =D I go play soccer le later come back continue blogging ba. Till we meet again! -.-

Weird day o.0

Today was weird, with all due respect.

I got lost in the morning.. until I realised my form teacher had taken my class over to another classroom for class interaction! =.=

Geog was ok la.. we did some kinda quiz on Google Earth images of Singapore. I'm not very good at Google Earth, so there.

English was.. next to useless. Jiarong evidently suggested a computer-based lesson, which pissed Mrs. Nathan off so much that she let him take the class. And when he was trying to teach us something meaningful, she got so fed up she walked out. Literally. So Jiarong went to call her back and we continued the lesson. Not much after that though..

Philo was fun. Discussed about the differences and similarities between Confucius' and Aristotle's Virtue Ethics. It's amazing how two different people from two different countries from two different times can come up with virtually the exact same concept!

History was disappointing. As in I was disappointed in my history score. 9/13 and therefore I failed History, having gotten 6/20 for the first test. Haiz.. Then Adi went and got so pissed that some people went to jeer at him and then Ms. Keh got so pissed and scolded the class. Today is a real piss-off day.

CLE was a bit boring; we were discussing integrity and how it is the basis of all other values such as respect. But we survived. xD

Malay was slack: One dictation and one worksheet! So let off liao le haha. And finally we finished the computer assignment! Thanks to Ji'An.

Before dinner I still had some spare time so I was... doing PT! Don't blame me PT is fun.. climbing stairs, plank, crunches, pushups etc etc... =D

Now I'm at the computer fighting the urge to go and sleep.. or maybe I won't! Seeya another time, then!

Today was fun(ny), as every other day is. ^^

Chinese was boring, actually. Thank God there was a relief teacher for Song (Who was at the RICO SYF) (I haven't done her homework =X), but 2 chang wen suo duans?! That's overdoing it. Lucky I never forget how to do xD

Double Eng/lit. Siaaaaaan. But seriously folks, even Mrs. Nathan was bored. Apparently she had a throbbing headache, and so once her dissection of Mayella Ewell (I meant crosss-examination sorry) was over, like, go hangman lor ^^ Big mistake for me. I meant to get them guess Shunsuke NakaMura but then go say no M. BLOOPER xD.

Chem is FUN. There's no other word for it. It's fun. Covalent bonding is so enthralling that I almost fell alseep in class! Whoops did I say that? I meant covalent bonding is confusing. And as most of you may or may not know, my brain shuts down if something is too taxing on it. So there. But overall Chem is FUN. There's no denying it ^^

Math was worse o.0 Inverse variation? I hope I get it, but direct variation was already as complicated as it could possibly be. But look on the good point: it's supposed to help us in our JC life xD

Art was impressive. Pun intended =D We were studying impressionism and apparently people before really modern art loved to draw *ahem* pictures. Luncheon on the Grass, Liberty leading the People. Oh, come on! Have some decency.. Luckily certain other people weren't like that, like the guy who spent his lifetime (or almost all of it) next to the River Seine drawing still life! I like still life btw (random). I mean, 18 MILLION BUCKS for A PAINTING?! Imba-ness.

Afterwards stoned for about 4 hours? xD Supposed to go support rugby match but I decided to stay in school and slack =X Thankfully they won 32-10, or else coach would've been extremely pissed off. I mean, last year he said we're never going to play in the plate EVER. And here is the team playing in, you guessed it, the Plate. =.=

It's late and I'm tired so off I go to my comfy bed! Byeee!

Future Problem Solving ^^

Special programme was last week, but since I didn't have any time then, I guess now is a good as ever!

First day: Khatib Bongsu =D
Khatib Bongsu is a true blue nature hub. Mangroves, grasssland, an old kampong, and a military training ground! xD We were doing some kind of population analysis and through that activity I really think I got in touch with nature much more than I was before. The diversity of Khatib Bongsu, which includes some rare birds, is vast, but we were only able to capture and record a mere number. Unless I am mistaken, many other schools also use Khatib Bongsu as an outdoor classroom, where the learning of certain subjects can be enhanced. Our natural heritage is also preserved in such a place, and the mangroves here act as coastal protection and poison detectors.

However, 6 differing factions are vying for this area of land. The kampong dwellers have already been evicted too. According to my guide for the trip, the HDB wants to build flats, SLA wants the land just because it is state land, NParks wants to convert it into a park, PUB wanted to dam up the river and convert the place into a reservoir, and finally, Mindef want it for part of their training grounds. Just the week before, RGS wanted to take a field trip at Khatib Bongsu, but were prevented from entering by military personnel. Therefore, it is really a huge shame to see one of the few remaining ecological hotspots in Singapore being taken away from the public.

After the trip, we were shipped to NUS where we learnt how to calculate different biodiversity levels for different habitats. Apparently grasslands are more diverse than mangroves due to many factors including pH level, humidity and so on. We were tired and looking forward to resting awhile before CCA, but evidently the chartered bus's air conditioning was faulty and we had to endure half and hour of sweltering conditions! Wang Jia Xing made a great observation: hot air rises. So we all sat on the floor, getting some minimal comfort. What a great feeling it was to feel the wind rushing past our faces back at school! xD

Day 2: Future Problem Solving Part 1
Now that we were back in the comfort of our classroom, it was time to do some proper work. So we sat down to brainstorm about ideas for our future problem solving question concerning global warming. In the end, we came up with these great ideas for solutions, and our action plan was basically one which combined 4 out of 8 of those! Lol. I felt we had a good chance of getting the award for Best Action Plan...

Day 3: Future Problem Solving Part 2
And we DID! What a pleasant surprise haha.. Anyway another team was chosen to do the skit, so we went back to our humble abode to create a poster! How exciting! xD Anyway I think we did a good job on that too, even though most of us were listening to MP3s while working. =X After we posted up our poster, it was food galore!!! Or maybe not. Curry puffs, pandan cake and egg tart. It was good enough so no complaints there! After our buffet the whole cohort was entreated to presentations on the implications of global warming, and finally the SKITS. Congratulations to the winners, good try to the losers. A shame Martin's group didn't win.. Anyway, we found out, to our pleasant surprise yet again, that we had won Best Poster! And that marks the end of our Special Programme Future Problem Solving 2007! =D

Interhouse track and field

Well today was fun xD
Timetable: Math, PE (Rugby ^^), Chinese, Recess, Half a period Chem, SLACK!, then track and field!!!
Slack slack slack for competitors haha... its a pity we missed Mr Law's Samba dance XD
Track and field was somewhat a disaster =X Moor got last for most of the events... T.T But, look on the bright side! We won the CHEER competitions haha! I think I'm gonna have a sore throat lol.. Sorry to my teammates for the relay, it was a bit awkward. Rye, personally I don't feel being called a prick is any help from someone who is already extremely disappointed with himself. It's not like I meant to suan Moor or anything, I was merely contemplating the odds. So please have some empathy. Anyway, just train harder for next year and hope we'll get better!

I SAW HOME UNITED TRAIN TODAY!!! =D
Lionel Lewis OWNS! xD

My Chinese teacher is extremely AP lar.. She gave me a worksheet yesterday and I didn't hand it up today cos I reached home at 10 pm zzz. Then she goes and blows up and shouts and screams and (fill in all synonyms of the former and latter words). Extremely pissifying for someone who is extremely tired already.

And now, I hafta zao.. T^T
My Chinese homework beckons lol. Chem project due tomorrow too XD

Flag Day!

Well today was an.. erm.. enriching experience! I was like, really excited but the whole thing was quite a disappointment. I spent 4 hours is Orchard Road and turned up with a measly $4.20! o.0 Lucky not as bad as Jech ($2.80) xD Anyway, no big deal. Got 4 hours of CIP for about 2 hours of work? =D Slacking at Borders is fun. But really, I wouldn't donate to someone holding a paper envelope and asking for donations! Have something proper, yea?

It's over!

But that was in the morning. Spent the whole afternoon in Ang Mo Kio hub loller. They totally renovated the place and it still reeks of paint haha. The plus side is the new building is HUGE. It even houses a bus station! But really, Ang Mo Kio Library is waaaaay outta the way. I mean, its quite desolate there. But that's that. No more surprises for todae and I gotta sleep so, I'm outta here! Night everyone!
