EOYs are Here!!!

OMGWTFBBQ. SO FAST?! EOYs started two days ago. (Yes, I know this is belated -- nearly all of my posts are belated, especially the hopefully coming Tioman and MM posts.)

Anyway, down to business. English and Literature, and Chinese. I wonder what could be worse. Oh right, maybe Malay and Geography, but still. English and Literature wasn't really a subject that I needed to mug for, nor could I mug for it, but CHINESE. I WANNA DIE. CHINESE. BLEAH. I didn't do much revision for it, chionged the chengyu and kewenfenxi on the day itself... BUT I ONLY LEFT 3 BLANKS! That's an achievement, mind you. I know, my expectations of myself are shitty low, thanks. No need to tell me again xD.

But. But. But. That's only 2 subjects out of the 7 I'm taking!!! SO GO MUG DAVID; STOP BLOGGING. And that's what I'm going to do. Soon. Hopefully. (You're looking at procrastination king here.) Ah well... Geog and Malay on Monday, History on Tuesday, Science on Wednesday, and Math on Thursday. At least we have a holiday on Friday, and anything after the EOYs is CHRISTMAS! (according to Mr. Fong) Hahahahahhahahha. I must be going crazy. Oh wait, I am crazy. ^^

Well. I shall try and reduce my procrastination level for today and go eat lunch then PLAY! Whoops, sorry I meant mugg. MUGMUGMUG. Byyeee all!

Math CCT

It was screwed. And I'm about to tell you why, so don't ask.

I was doing perfectly fine until the last question. I was wondering how to bloody use similarity with 2 figures and 2 unknowns. Until the last 2 seconds, when exasperated me decided to take another look at the question. Guess what I saw: a conical flask of 18cm radius and 28cm height! And the height uncovered by water was given as 14 cm. What the FUCK.

And God has to add salt to my wound by letting me see the number 2 seconds before Mrs. Chong called time. I was flipping the page over, just put my pen on the paper, and suddenly "pens down" came ringing through the classroom. Shitbags.

Hopefully I won't be so careless at EOYs. Screw it 7 marks gone. Could have gotten full now only max 23. Shitbags. MUG MORE (although my theory is perfectly fine) and CARELESS LESS (which I am desperately LACKING).

Happy Belated Mid-Autumn Festival

Right. Study Math under the stars. You wish, Mrs. Chong.

Anyway, happy Mid-Autumn Festival. Did any of us do ANYTHING to celebrate this? I ate a few mooncakes xD. And walked with my bro, who was holding a lantern, and my other bro, who was holding a stick with 5 candles attached to it. Burning. =.= Only problem is that there was the Math CCT the day after the night of the MAF. Sheesh, such a party pooper. =D

SNOW SKIN MOONCAKES ROCK. ESPECIALLY DURIAN. OWNS. Sorry xD I just looove snow-skinned mooncakes. They taste damn pro can? Better than the traditional ones (sorry whoever created them). Mr. Law was really nice in giving the ICC committee a few mooncakes during recess at the staff lounge. Snow-skinned pandan w00tz! Haha he got them from Indonesia. Lollers.

Anyway Mrs. Chong was trying to be drama and she was like: "Okay, today is the mooncake festival so spend tonight with your parents mugging math under the stars." Yeah right.

Oh right, Mrs. Sung gave us a few dengmis. Lantern riddles, for those of you who don't know hanyupinyin. And chocolates. And lanterns. Really cute ones, at that.

Just for the act: I'm going to mug math now. But not for CCT. EOYs coming up OMFG!

Freaked Out.

Ok people. Do NOT believe this post. I don't believe it myself either.

I went for Rafflesian Spotlight auditions today. And hopefully didn't screw up. I was like freaking nervous la. It was a spontaneous decision based on the nudging by the Sec 4s, ok? xD Anyway I did I'd Do Anything by Simple Plan, because I can roughly hit all the pitches right, so there.

Guess who were the judges? Ms Grace Kong, Mr Law Hock Ling and Mrs. ROSIE SMITH OMGWTFBBQ. She wasn't that bad for my one though... didn't say anything haha. Which may be good or bad I dunno. Ms Kong said that I should have chosen a song which shows off my voice more.. and I need to enunciate clearly. Was I mumbling?

Then Mr. Law said something about volume control. Erm, what's wrong with that, I have no idea, k? I mean, even normally people sing quite loudly. Including Nabil. But still. He also said that I have to. Erm. Not close my eyes so much. I'm sorry, but I was nervous and that's the only way I hit high pitches. Closing my eyes. xD

But all in all it wasn't THAT bad... part of me wants to reach the next stage but part of me is too freaked to want to. =.=

Were there supposed to be mikes in the audition room? And since when did auditions have live AUDIENCES?! Bleargh.

Maybe I shall post about the Tioman trip and ICC tomorrow. During Comm class, if there's time. Bleah I NEED TO POST ABOUT THOSE TWO. Or else they'll really become forgotten memoirs. =)

Drama Challenge PWNZ. Really.

Ok. Drama Challenge was concluded not so long ago, but I slacked for a bit. So finally this post is coming up! =D

Well we've been working on this for the past 2 terms, and I'm glad to say that we did fairly well for it, despite major stumbling blocks along the way. The actors got their lines right, the crew was like a well-oiled machination, and the music was nearly perfect ('cept for Scene 3 yea). So, good job guys.

In the start, we weren't really very focused on the job. The selection of cast and crew took really very long, and the director was indecisive in his choices. Not to mention the scriptwriters took quite some time to produce a script, and even then only with the lecturing by Ms. Rosie. =.=

Martin was selected by popular vote as director, but it turned out to be a crap decision. He selected actors based on his liking for them, and designated random people to random roles. For example, even though I was earnest in acting for the play, he chose people who did not want to even act as main actors. Sheesh. He was also involved in many arguments with the cast over the script, the acting, the whatever. But more about this later. (I take part of this back)

In the end, the final decisions for cast were: Antonio -- Weng Hong, Bassanio -- Anderson, Shylock -- Jasdeep, Portia -- Darren, Nerissa -- Chia, Gratiano -- Jia Rong, Lorenzo -- Me! =.=, Salarino -- Wesley, Solanio -- Suwe. And the organising committee: Director/Dramaturge -- Martin, Assistant Director -- Pei Yuan, Stage Manager -- Suwe, blah blah blah.

WE ROCKED. Honestly, our final product went without a single hitch. Except for MAYBE a bit of hesitation on Jasdeep's part, but I call it SPECIAL EFFECTS XD. And I'm apologizing to Martin for blasting him so badly those days. I know it's long over, but still. WE WERE 10TH AND 2P WERE BETTER THAN US?! SOMEONE DID SOMETHING AND WE ALL KNOW IT. HMM.

But ah well, we know that we did a great job, and no one is going to take away this accomplishment from us. 2Q'07 FTW.

Drama Challenge PWNZ

Woot I had fun we did well.

Will post more tomorrow when I have the time. =D

2nd Day of Term 3

OMG Drama Challenge TOMORROW?! 2Q FTW -- Go for it, guys!

Today was damn boring, as usual.

Math was normal: Nothing to talk about except: I might be getting the hang of congruency! w00tz.

P.E. was almost totally screwed up: We were doing softball, and Jasdeep was being a bitch/retard/asshole/whatever. He insisted on pitching; screwed the whole team up. Got damn pissed because of that.

But after that Chinese was back to boringness. OMG there's such a word! Cool. Sian la listen to people who dictate essays to us, not present. Hmm. Recess time =D

General Science (yes, it isn't Bio) was ok, we just got our groupings for the atomic bomb awareness kit, and spent nearly the whole lesson yapping about it.

And finally assembly: It was supposed to be an environmental talk by someone from NIE, but in the end she wasn't feeling well so it turned out to be a ICC talk/Documentary showing.

Third lang was shiok. There was a lesson observation today, but I didn't screw up that badly yay. We were asked to do a dialog on shopping, so my group just translated Russel Peter's $34.50 into Malay. Haha. Cikgu commended me on successfully acting like a Cinaman talking in Malay.

"Rehearsals" were screwed up. I mean, half the people who stayed back were taupoking each other while Martin, Deep, WH and Anderson tried to work out Scene 3. Kudos. I went to 2L and when I went back down the class was locked le (so early?!).

Sorry for this wuliao post; it's something like a filler before my pictures from Tioman come in =D

Poetry Slam Finals

Hello, I finally decided to make a post on Poetry Slam, in which we nearly totally got whooped. =D

Ah well it took place I think last Friday? at the school auditorium. I think the only boy teams who got into the finals were from RI, ACS(B), SJI and Bedok North or something. But the girls got St. Nick's Bimbos (7 teams WTF), PLMGS Bimbos, and a few other schools. =.= I mean, I wasn't there for the prelims, but gratz to the 2 RI teams that got to the finals: Wang Jia Xing and Teo Ren Jie. *Claps* Sadly, Edmond blundered in the first round, so they dropped out, and then only Ren Jie got through, all the way to the finals.

You know how many people would think emo is the new trend nowadays? The judges seemed not to know that... and they gave like freaking high scores to the St. Nick's teams sheesh. They seem super high la, those people. I personally think the judges judges on how they felt about the TEAMS, not the POEMS. I mean, look at it la. The happy high poems got super high scores, so I concluded that the emo poems failed to please the judges (and in turn, get high scores). And I think they only wanted to see bimbotism. Bimbs. Sheesh. Some of the POEMS that should have gone through didn't... sadly. Poems are supposed to be judged based on the emotions, the usage of language, the expression of feelings. Didn't look like it was being judged like that.

Jared has this really freaky laughter, and I'm quite sure all the girls can do is copy others. I mean, right after we gave Ren Jie's team a standing ovation for getting into the final round, their group was announced and then they gave their group a standing ovation. =.= What's more, right after Jared's evil laugh poem, they went on stage and this their own evil laugh poem (which sucks compared to Jared's, btw). And I think we found out where their bimbotismic attitudes come from le: their teachers! Haha.

Even so, I guess the winning team did deserve what they got: I'm guessing they put in a large amount of effort for the competition, so no grudges there. But look above, and see my griping and moaning and whatever.

So next year's poetry slam course of action for RI is basically this: FORGET about all the emo shit, and start thinking of happy lines and ideas for poems. What's more, we must ACT LIKE BIMBS. Or else RI won't get high scores D=

Koped from Mike's blog:

Ahman: WHEN I SAE PAOTRAE YAOU SAY SLAAAIM! PAOTRAE --
Shek: Suck my b****s.

Lol.

What to post?

Ok I shall just post some random stuff xD. Mr. Koh talked about the science mentorship programme today, and I found it to be quite interesting actually. Maybe I should go... if anyone's willing to form a group with me haha. Not to mention today's assembly about International Coastal Cleanup. Should be an interesting outing for the cohort, and haha I think I'm going to be stationed with the bright orange tees at the dumping ground. =D Slacka!

Sheesh would someone come up with ideas on what to post... maybe I'll do one on Poetry Slam. A short one about the bimbotism of St. Nick's Girls. Yup. But what else?! TELL ME. T_T

Assholes All

This post is specially dedicated to the assholes Joshua Chia, Joshua Suwe and Ryan Tan. For doing something I'll not be likely to forget anytime soon.

You thinking stealing someone's stuff is damn fun you wait till someone steals yours la. My soccer ball you go put in a fucking toilet bowl, and my shoes you dirty them AND spoil them by putting them underneath a fucking pipe and next to a fucking fire hydrant under two fucking dirty slabs of stone. Bitches.

Watch out, fags.

1 Day Later

Ok. We resolved it le. So kindly shut whatever crap is coming out, if there has been any. Thanks very much =D

RA Application PHAIL

Haiz. I want to go for RA Bio. But my bliddy percentage is too bliddy low. Boohoo. So I guess I'll just have to DO MY BEST for the EOYs, and maybe I'll pull my science scored high enough =D

GO RA BIO!

The Final Outcome

Ok. Here it is. The one you all have been waiting for (or maybe not). HOUSE CARN 2 FINAL RESULTS (or at least the events I participated in)! OMGWTFBBQ wOOt.

Ok. Soccer first then: Teng Chuan was sick. As in injured. So yours truly stepped up to fill in the gap between the posts. And I hope I did a commendable, if not a darn good job. You read my previous post, didn't you? Well, for the benefit of those who actually didn't (F5), I'll just recap a bit: Hullett and Morrison fielded overage players (but we already beat Morrison so who cares). So, they have to replay all the matches they won or drew, which meant Hullett replays all of them! First up: Buckley. 2 goals on each half made the scoreline a comfortable 3-1 to Buckley (and made us damn happy too la). Because... if Hullett lost to Buckley, then we only needed to draw with Hullett for an assured first place! Put on Pang's lucky gloves and waited between the posts... and it finally started.

Personally I think we crowded out their attack, but they did have some good chances. Once a through-ball somehow made it's way to Zi Heng and Zi Xuan was supporting him. And I had no defenders holy cow. But lol thankfully Zi Heng's dribbling is n00b shit and when he pushed it too far ahead I just dived for the ball. =D But other than that they merely had a couple a' weak shots at goal. Except for Alvin's bottom corner shot which I was thankfully quick enough to get to. But sheesh my goal kicks sucked like crap la... I think I'm still kicking the ball rugby style. As in sideways, which results in some SICK outswing. And also lands it outside the field. =.= MUST IMPROVE. But yea we had a few goal chances too, albeit a scoreless game. TOP SPOT TO MOOR SOCCER.

Ok. Softball second then: We were short on people for softball, so I chionged to the diamond almost immediately after our celebrations abated. Luckily Bayley and Morrison's match was halfway through when the rain started so they had to continue. Acutally as long as we didn't concede more than 6 runs we would have been assured 1st place, because Bayley beat Morrison with like a damn high scoreline which I can't remember o0. If it's a tie then the positions would be decided using runs conceded what! Anyway we were playing like noob crap in the first two innings... T_T And we conceded 3 runs in the first inning T_T But thankfully we kept a clean sheet during the second inning, partly because of noob hitting, and partly because of pro catching haha.

Then the magick resurfaced. xD Last inning: Wei Hao got a run, Mirza got a home run. And we were 2 down. Up stepped Ken Min, but he didn't do anything zzz. Morrison were cowards and decided to give him a walk. I wonder who batted next... OH RIGHT. Me! =D Ming Chan is a damn freaky pitcher la. He like smiles at you perversely, then he looks away (like he's thinking how to own you), then he looks back and smiles again. Then he pitches... way over the head of the batter! LOL. I guess I screwed up on my second bat... I swung, missed the ball, and knocked the stupid helmet off my head. It's a bit big la. But never mind. Ming Chan screwed up his third pitch (I think the way to overcome his freakyness is to smile freakily back at him, which is what I did xD). And then he pitched again... ... ... ... ... ... AND I HIT THE BALL! wOOt! So I ran. Then I stopped, coz someone almost got the ball. But he fumbleleled! And I got my happy arse to 2nd base. =) Kym is like damn pessimistic can? At first he was like: I never expected you to hit the ball. Then when I said I did, he was like: Don't worry you won't make it to home base. Stephen was batting then right, so I was saying: Tennis player ok! Then he crapped: Ya, but tennis racket is a BIT bigger then softball bat right? LOL. Anyway it looked like Kym would be right OHNO. Coz Stephen missed his first swing boohoo. Then he was like smirking at me... until Ming Chan decided to be charitable and give Stephen a DAMN NICE BALL. I wonder what he did with it... oh right. HE SMACKED IT DAMN FAR OUT (ok maybe not so far out)(but still). So Ken Min ran, I ran, Stephen ran. Ken Min got a run, I got a run. 4 RUNS IN ONE INNING, so mercy rule applied (this also meant that Stephen couldn't get a home run sadly). HAHA IN YOUR FACE KYM. And anyway... Jasdeep can't boast about the Bayley match, coz I got a winning run too HAHAHHA.

4-3 seems to be our lucky scoreline la. 4-3 against Bayley, 4-3 against Morrison... hmm. Anyway I had a crap load of fun during the events I participated in. =D And I made some good achievements too.. TOP SPOT TO MOOR SOFTBALL.

A double gold for Moor, a double gold for me xD.

Moor Imbaness!

Moor OWNED at House Carn 2. =D

Ok, House Carn 2 had 6 sports right? Tennis, basketball, softball, soccer, hockey, and one more. Hmm. What was that other one? Oh right. Rugby, but it's played on another day so there.

Tennis and basketball were cancelled because of the horrible weathers that day. The courts were so wet zzz how to play la. So instead of going for basketball (lucky me) I went for either soccer or softball. And, I'm happy to say, we OWNT. Ownt being total ownage.

Three sports to talk about... which should I start with? Oh well let's just do the one which I went for first: Softball! We trounced Buckley 4-0 in the first match, with yours truly striking someone out! w00t. I mean, they had what, ONE softballer. And the rest of the team were just a weird mix of CCAs. Therefore we progressed into the round robin stage, together with Bayley and Morrison. We scraped through against Bayley (scoreline was 4-3) haha. I got out at one hmph. Hit it too weakly and the stupid first base guy got the ball and tagged me out before I could even run. Shoulda done what Teoh says MLB players do. Once they know they're out they just drop the bat and walk off! Act cool haha. But anyway the game went our way, and I know you won't believe me but I'll say it anyway: Jasdeep won the winning run! HOLY. xD Good job guys. Then the rain started again. Damnit. Morrison and Bayley were drawing 3-3 and our match against Morrison was postponed. D= But yea I guess we won't flunk Morrison. Go Moor Softball!

Soccer up next. It's a sad story la... NOT. We lost the first match 1-2 to Hullett, but we got through the rest with 1-0 scorelines 'cept for the 1-1 draw with Bayley xD. Good job guys. Second place! But there's even better news: Hullett and Morrison fielded overage players!! Seeing as we already beat Morrison, this basically meant we got a second chance against Hullett. Haha, but the rain started and it got postponed. Lol Hullett have to replay all their matches (They won 3 drew 1). Go Moor Soccer!

Finally Hockey. I really can't say much about this one, seeing as I wasn't there to witness anything. All I have are some vague rumours that we are second place or something like that. But still. Go Moor Hockey!

Now all we have to do is wait for the postponed matches and the rest of the sports... GO MOOR!

Addition to original post:

Rugby was played on the 21st of August, Thursday. I had a damn good day for rugby haha. Scored a total of eight tries, and perfected my sidestep and spin techniques w00t. You wanna know the irony of it all? Moor got last place =.= We lost 3-1 to Bayley (try by me). The ref for Bayley sucked by the way. I got my hand on Syafiq's tag and then he knocks my hand away. Zzz. We beat Morrison 3-2 (tries by me and Russel). We lost to Buckley 6-4 (all tries by me). We lost to Hullett 6-1 holy shit (try by me). Sadly during the Hullett match I lost my cool coz the ball almost never got to me. Zzz. Hullett are bloody cheaters can? Russel is like chionging towards a try, then suddenly one of them step in front of him and get knocked down. And the ref gives them a free pass WATURF?! Suxorz. Anyway I had fun. And I proved to Cal that I'm not a piece of n00b shit.

NOOOO. SO FAST!

Holy COW. Tomorrow RE Presentations ALREADY?! Time flies so fast when you're having fun. NAAAT. Anyway I'm chionging the PowerPoint slides NOW. About half a day before the REAL presentation starts. =.= This is so scrood!

Okay, an update seems to be in order. We have done our report DRAFT. We have done our surveys. We are trying to crap up a guidebook of sorts. We have NOT done the interview (which is optional so who cares). And now it's the PRESENTATION?! We're hardly READY!!!! F5. DIEDIEDIE.

P.S. Sorry for the overwhelming optimism of this and the previous post. I just seem to be in such high spirits. xD

House Carn 2: The Preparation.

OMG!!! So fast already House Carn 2... it's tomorrow lol. I wonder why An Zhen chose to schedule the trials for all of the events ONE DAY before the actual thing? Hmm...

Anyway, I went for the basketball and soccer trials today... and I got in for basketball! Ok... so maybe not really got in. More of a nobody-signed-up-so-automatic-first-team-place kinda thing... Does that count as getting in? But anyway, I really don't see much point in going for the basketball tourney. We'll be licked anyways. (Don't think of anything else but losing, sickos) Only 2 basketballers and only 1 team player!!! OHMG. Die la. Then there is Joel and some 2C guy but all the rest are sec 1s! Die la. What's more, the other teams have like at least 4 basketballers? Die la. Haha An Zhen's strategy is to just pass the ball to the basketballers and hope they score while we defend and hope the other team don't score. =.=

Now for the soccer trials. I had a damn lot of fun can? Made this lovely string of saves. Against Malays some more (we all know how pro they are). So hopefully I have a first team place tomorrow. Or else I'll just have fun warming the bench and thank God that I'm not letting in any goals. xD Nah I'd really love to be playing... And since Moor soccer has a so much higher chance than Moor basketball... Well you get the point. Anyway I hope we win! (Seeing as C-Div basketball also not much hope le. Unless the other teams all somehow get food poisoning. Hmm.)

WELL. Good luck to all competitors from Moor in tomorrow's House Carn 2. Must win hor, or else Moor not first place le. =( Haiz I'm still wondering whether to go for BBALL. Or SOCCER. Comments, anyone?

OMGOMGOMG Breaking news!!! Rye signed me up for softball LOL. I wonder which I should choose now... Hmm. Too bad I not Naruto... do the Shadow Clone Jutsu then go for all! W00t. But the point is. I CAN'T do the Shadow Clone Jutsu or whatshit. So... WHICH ONE?

Thanks Cal. Sorry bout today.

Haha. I punched Cal today. Coz of him, like the whole of RI Sec 2 and maybe some others knew about you know what (if you don't read below, dumbass). Then the assholes in my Malay class had to rub it in. So I guess he deserves it anyway. But ya I did it rashly so here I am apologizing.

By the way, Cal's apology on his blog is damn charming la (I'm not being sarcastic here):

Thanks for it, mate. =D

Really you should try harder instead of playing paper ball tennis. xD I mean, you could really do quite well if you put some effort into it. But dude, even I was mugging math while waiting for you to finish and in the end you didn't! So yea just jiayou and you'll do well. Or at least you won't be retained. Cheers!

P.S. You know how Maas reacted when Assim went back to his seat after today's assembly?! She was like, "Ohh.. Good job Assim! (Raises thumb) (Claps) (Smiles scarily)" Brrr... And she let slip the EOY question to 2P. It WAS supposed to be "What are the differences in prejudice between TKAM and MoV." But now it has to be changed... D: Haha she only realised when she saw people scribbling on their paper: EOY Question -- ...

Back to School

Nat Day holidays over lez. (Lousy grammar) But I had fun lol.

8th August --

We tried to go back to Tao Nan, but apparently the school has become a bit too paranoid in protecting the kids and now even alumni have to register to visit teachers! Waturf?

Moreover, when we finally managed to get in it was like, deserted la. Only managed to see 2 teachers; the rest were supposedly in a meeting... Met up with the other Taonanites (only 16?!) before trooping off to Macs for lunch. (Kai, Ying, Sal, Joey, D.Loh, Xin Xuan, JX, BeiQing, Chels, Cal, Wendy, Jeremy, Dom, Xuan and Tiong) I think the whole place was looking at us. What else do you expect from a bunch of kids who haven't seen each other in, erm, 6 months? Noise la. Lots of it.

Then the inevitable parting came: the pang-sehers went to Tiong's/Jeremy's house (circle the correct option) to play Xbox/PS2 (refer to above), while the others went to Kembangan to get rackets and play badminton! =D I am classified under others (D.Loh, XX, Joey, Chels, Kai, Ying, Sal, Me, Dom, YuXuan). Cal stole my socca ball. D=

Badminton was DAM fun. Lol. I think I improved. Hopefully I did xD. My netting and smashes IMPROVED! After a while people got bored so ya Joey whipped out her handy cam and started taking pictures of us. o0. We only book from 3 to 4 lol. We played from 2.30 to what, 7? HAHA. Kai's rackets are damn heavy (I got muscle pain from gripping them 4 hours straight.)

I really miss Tao Nan lor. But they had to come up with the stupid registering thingie. D= Hopefully we can sneak in or something on Teacher's Day. Surely they can't refuse us then!

Mementos from MM07

Well I must say that this trip was not without benefit for me. I learnt the importance of leadership, made tons of new friends, and so on. I had mixed feelings when going home. Part of me wanted to continue the fun in Malaysia, the other part felt, well, happy to be home. I guess being leader helped me learn many other things, too.

Haha! I guess what else Eugene (our SL) said was true, too. The batch we are in is the one who accompanied, is accompanying, and will accompany us through secondary school and junior college. Make the most out of the time you have with your friends! ;D I'm sounding extremely cliched here lol.

SORRY IT'S SO DAMN LATE. I WAS AWAY ON HOLIDAY! XD

My Quicksilver shirt from the lighthouse trek! w00t.

Cute person Aaron. (At least Cal thinks so)

Malaysia Montage 2007!

Malaysia Montage OWNED. It rocked la. I mean, I got sick at the end of it with a horrible cough, but it's still damn pro. =]

First day:
Lunch at Orna Golf Course was not bad. The wind was vicious, but the view was awesome. The food wasn't that bad either. Then we went tree planting! xD I planted my own tree w00t!
And then.. GROUP PIC! Haha.. it was the opening of the reserve, so we were the so-called VIPs. =D

Then we went back to Tiara Beach Resort (which has an artificial beach for your information) and had DINNER! =D Then go sleep duh. But I didn't sleep until much later! Because SOMEBODY's fan was not working, and it was uber hot.

Second Day:
Had to wake up damn early coz of physical training.. dam tired la (read above). Haha Jordan's whole room was late.. somemore part of my group. Oh, did I tell you? I'm group leader! ;P But PT was quite slack.. they said it was to wake us up o.0 lol. I had to stop halfway through though.. asthma came back due to my lack of sleep.. =(

After which we had breakfast! Normal fare: bread, bee hoon, the like. Coz my group's in cluster 2, so we climbed a damn tall hill to get to a lighthouse. Asthma came back. Again. So I had trouble breathing. On the way up there was this makeshift swing.. DAM FUN! Haha.. and near it was the rumored footprint of Hang Tuah. I dun have the pic coz it's in my phone.. but if you wanna find out more go to www.google.com and search Hang Tuah's footprint. xD

At the top the view was crazy.
The path was very narrow, so one slip and you could say byebye. Up there we could see the Straits of Melaka, whirlpools and all. We made a "flagpole" using bamboo poles and string, and raised a Quicksilver shirt on it. Then we stuck these post-its with leadership qualities written on them haha. At least I got the shirt. =P

And after the lighthouse we went back for lunch! Another normal affair.. Before we were driven to Kampong Pelegong for some cultural exposure. Evidently the kampong's name was derived from to Malay words which mean "play" and "gong". This embodies their tradition of playing on gongs. We were entreated to a warm welcome and had a small tour there which included egg-basket weaving, traditional games, a tour of the rubber and sugar cane plantations etc.. Too bad I was sick with a horrible running nose. No tour for me. After that we literally attacked the teachers! There was a bout of what seemed like all-out war between the teachers and students. I didn't participate. =.= But there wasn't much to it. My group pulled out after 10 seconds? Coz we already had the balloon which we were supposed to get. Lol. To quote Zack, "We were chionging to attack the teachers but then Cal suddenly shouted withdraw." Mr. Koh was bent on attacking Zi Heng and Ryan lol... After that we had a round of car-fighting. Darts and balloons were attached to the cars and whoever burst whoever's balloon won la. So simple. But we lost, because although we flipped over a car, the facilitators flipped it back. And our balloon got burst. =( Then we went for the homestay. For about an hour we got to see what a Malay home looked like and so on.

And then on to the highlight of the day = Mush's (is that how you spell it?) wedding! xD We sabo-ed him to go marry this Malay woman haha. The ceremony was quite elaborate, with performances by dancers and a gong team. But the visit was actually quite beneficial, and I learned a lot from it.
Third Day:
Today we went to FRIM! The Forest Research Institute of Malaysia la bodoh. We walked through an hour of forest and gravel paths and steep steps (I still think the lighthouse trek was more challenging) before reaching the much anticipated canopy walk. Great view up there -- we could see KL city from the bridge. Way cool, dude. My group was quite disappointed though... no leech bites! I mean, they looked way cool la. Brandon Kang and Dom Loh both got one... I'm jealous. xD Nah I'm joking. I wanted a leech, just to see how it looks like, but I bet I would've freaked the moment I saw one haha. Plenty of pictures later. =D

Then we went to KL. First things first: Batu Caves. I've always wanted to visit these caves, but I never had the time.. so I'm gonna talk ALOT about them xD. Did you know there are 272 steps exactly to the main entrance of the caves? They numbered them.. so boliao.. There's also this HUGE statue of this Indian god. Biggest in Malaysia, the guide said. Took 3 million and 3 years to complete it.. wonder why they like 3 so much? Anyway the caves are uber cool... Pictures abound too later! We visited the temple cave, which was the main one. But there is this other cave which I saw behind a gate, the Dark Cave. Sounds eerie? Ms Aishah the guide said there were bats there and from my viewpoint it looked dam freaky la. She also said the people who discovered the caves liked the smell of bat GUANO LOL. Weird, huh? Ok. So maybe I didn't talk alot. Doesn't a picture speak a thousand words? You'll see tons later lol.

Second things second: Chocolate house. People were sooo interested in the Tongkat Ali chocs la... =.= I'm poor so I didn't get anything. So sad. Oh ya, the Tongkat Ali chocs are fake. Or at least Aaron says so. "I ate 7 pieces and nothing happened lor!" HAHA.

Third things third: High Tea at Menara KL. Literally. It's the 4th highest telecommunications tower in the WHOLE WORLD. Ain't that cool? More pictures later.. the view up there.. pure imbaness. Kenneth Low's tower is going to be 30 meters shorter.. so sad. Interesting fact: It takes the lift exactly 1 minute to reach the top of the tower! Before we went down a group of us were telling each other racist jokes lol. Then pick-up lines. Then just plain jokes. So wuliao! xD

Last things last: Chinatown! I was freaking scared of pickpockets, so to prevent that, I put my wallet and phone into my waist pouch and kept my hands on it every moment.. lol. I think a few pickpockets tried to palm my group mates to no avail. The people there look very gangster sia... but some of them were quite reasonable with the prices.. Some of us managed to cut the price of an RM80 jersey to RM20. Maybe they were prepared to sell it at that price, maybe not. If there was a skill I learned there, it would be bargaining. I didn't buy anything myself because I didn't really have much money left and anyway I go there almost every year.. so might as well wait for my mom to get me a better deal next time! There was this 100m flagpole somewhere near Chinatown.

After our shopping, we went for a steamboat dinner at some restaurant. I felt like vomitting after the dinner. Not attacking the quality of the food; I just think I ate too much. And I got a pic of Wang Kuan talking to SOMEBODY. Hmm.

Fourth Day:
Our last day in Malaysia.. we packed our stuff and got on the bus for Putrajaya, the new administration area for Malaysia. The tour guide said it was still in the building stages, but it looked modern enough. One attraction was the man-made lake, the other one the super high spire on the Masjid Putra. At the shopping centre I watched hopelessly as Parry and Hiok Yang got ripped off. How sad. Lol no, I actually watched them buy an ice cream cone consisting of one scoop of ice cream, two wafers and tons of sprinklers. I mean, I can make that myself! Lol. Afterwhich we had lunch at this condominium place. Our bus driver ROCKS, kay? He made this illegal U-turn just so we didn't have to cross the road, unlike the other groups. Then we went home. Home sweet home. Singaopore! xD Pictures and reflections in my next post haha.

And the FA Cup is Chelsea's!

Age finally seemed to catch up with the former maestro Ryan Giggs, and he failed to add a bit of glamour to the game. As did Cristiano Ronaldo. Wayne Rooney contributed some spark to an otherwise boring performance by MU, making some great breaks through the defence but failing to capitalise.

In extra time, however, Manchester United seemed to be reinvigorated, starting to overrun the Chelsea defence. The defense was still sloppy, and some mistakes gave Van De Sar some work to do. Manchester were pressing forward at every opportunity, but the goal constantly eluded them. One chance had been disallowed by the assistant referee, who said it didn't cross the line, although television replays showed that it did. Controversies abound about that one.

Didier Drogba, who for so long had helped Chelsea with a goal or two when they were down, was snapping at the heels of the Manchester United players, and it paid off. Finally, in the 116th minute of extra time, one moment of magic was all that was required to send Manchester United crashing down. Drogba to Lampard. Lampard to Drogba. Goal for Chelsea. Great job by Drogba, and to Lampard, who both, albeit tired legs, strove on to get the all-important goal.

And so it ended, with Chelsea winning the FA Cup. Man U fans, do not fret. Both teams had a great season, Chelsea winning the domestic cup double, MU winning the league. All that's left is Liverpool and AC Milan, and the prestigious Champion's League Final.

You'll Never Walk Alone!

FA Cup Final

Manchester United 0 - 0 Chelsea. So the score read at half time, so it read at the 70th minute. A boring match to say the least. The flair was fading, and few chances were created. The strikers failed to shine, and Rooney and Co. blew some great chances. 5 offsides since the game started. Chelsea have been having a better game, but still failed to convert any of the silver-lined chances provided by the wingers. Sloppy passing by Manchester United gave Chelsea the upper hand for a while, but Chelsea failed to capitalise on the mistakes by the MU defence.

Arjen Robben's appearance at the start of the second half opened up possibilities, but there was nobody to connect with his near-perfect crosses. Rooney was disappointing to say the least -- blew a couple of chances here and there, but if nobody makes mistakes, who's gonna win? Hopefully it'll go to penalties! ^^

Seeing the match so far (the 75th minute), I have decided that Liverpool is still better than these two supposedley great teams giving a lacklustre performance. You'll Never Walk Alone!

House Carn 1

Lol I still managed to represent Moor for the table-tennis interhouse.. although I did not have a very successful day. Sorry Suwe about the Morrison match; I know we could've won it but I screwed up and reflex returned the shot. T^T

I played singles against the school team imba guy.. erm what's his name? Never mind can't remember. Hullett guy anyway. Beat me 7-3,7-4. What a sorry score.

Well, congratz to Moor for getting 3rd for C-Div table-tennis, 1st for C-Div badminton, 1st for B-Dic Basketball, and the others. Good try to the B-Div softball, rugby and tennis teams!

Special mention the Jerry for such hard work; rushing here and there! xD First go swimming, chiong to play one match, then go swimming again, and then come back. Albeit such a tiresome schedule, he still got 3rd for finals and 4th for relay, so gratz!

Hope my exams will go well this time, and of course, may c-div rugby win the championship this year! Loved the fruit cake my parents bought.. =P Wish me happy bdae! =D

And thanks to everyone who wished me happy bdae. Really appreciated. And to those that haven't... Wish me happy bdae! =D

5 Stations =D

w00t My 5 stations were dam fun ^^ But I n00ber than Stephen... T-T

I guess I didn't do that badly for this year.. At least I improved for most of the stations. I'm happiest with my standing broad jump haha -- improved from a C to an A! I have realised that not building up is better for me.. weird -.-

I'm happy with my sit ups =) 60 isn't a bad number, ain't it? I strove on to get there coz I thought it was a nice number. Although A is 43. OVERKILL!! xD I was damn scared before I started coz I hadn't practiced for like, half a year, so I though I would be rusty.. But it all turned out fine ;P

Sit and reach 47 cm nia.. Is that good? Wasn't much of an overkill.. A was 43 cm. Oh well.

My shuttle run deproved...... boohoo. 9.7 seconds from last year's 9.6 (which also means I'm not top of the class anymore T-T) Jech is. Gratz. (I must improve..) My first run was crap, coz my shoe was extremely low-friction. Then I wore Tim's badminton shoes... And slipped out of them. xD But after I tightened them = 9.7 seconds! An A at the very least.

I love my inclined pull ups! I did 45, which is 2 less than Stephen by the way. Which means I lifted about 53*45 = 2385kg (which is more than Adi's 640kg) Another A cleared ^^

NOW FOR THE 2.4! BRING IT ON.

On a sidenote: I went to the NS40 Open House today. And they had this place where they ask you to do sit ups or chin ups. And you can win prizes. So I tried out the sit ups and did 58! Not bad considering my stomach area was still sore from the 60 I did. Top scorer that day! ^^

Badminton Finals!

Went to the C-div badminton finals today (so we pon school) xD But that's beside the point..

We WON (RGS also)! Raffles 3-2 Boon Lay.. ^^ Jey-Sng total ownage la. Elvis also.. but then they dam bad to Ben lor.. go use him as cannon fodder against their strongest player. Nvm got good experience =)

Their imports quite good, but Roy could've won his match. He put up a spirited fight but succumbed in the last set. T^T

Then Raffles doubles go own Boon Lay like siao. w00t. They hardly put up a fight against the teams haha ^^

Then Elvis at the end go totally PWN their player. So at first we thought would end early.. but got prize presentation =.= The trophies are dam big la.

Ohya.. we were being dam funny during the last 2 matches. Whenever Raffles go smash then we go shout go scare the opponents. LOL.

Then afterwards we got dam long lunch so there! ^^

Boredom

I have nothing to do. As such, boredom has overtaken my life, causing me to stone and listen to music and maybe blog if something comes up. Maybe someone would care to suggest something?

SHUT UP!

Guys, if you can't do anything but tear people down, just shut up. It doesn't feel very good, and after awhile it starts to get sickening. You wouldn't want it if people keep on insulting you and calling you names. Just try to feel how I feel, and maybe you wouldn't be so crapped up and insult people.

So if you can't talk about people in a good way just SCREW OFF. I don't need anymore FUCKING comments from what I get in my school from my classmates. SHADDUP.

Just wanted to record a poem I felt was good. From Homeland by R.A Salvatore:

What eyes are these that see
The pain I know in my innermost soul?
What eyes are these that see
The twisted strides of my kindred,
Led on in the wake of toys unbridled:
Arrow, bolt and sword tip?

Yours... aye, yours,
Straight run and muscle spring,
Soft on padded paws, sheathed claws,
Weapons rested for their need,
Stained not by frivolous blood
Or murderous deceit.

Face to face, my mirror,
Reflection in a still pool by light.
Would that I might keep that heart
Within my breast untainted.

Hold tight to the proud honor of your spirit,
Mighty Guenhwyvar,
And hold tight to my side,
My dearest friend.

--Drizzt Do'Urden (R.A. Salvatore)

Inspiration

A few quotes I find very meaningful:

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you have ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that come along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Inspirational, are they not?

P.S. Thanks Mr. Law!

Crime Scene Investigation in LIFE

Today was dam crazy la. Something like CSI going on in class xD

You know, the usual crime scene investigation: interrogations, suspects, re-enactments, forensics, prosecutions, confessions, blah blah blah. Ok, so maybe the last few parts were not so prominent.. but still there's the similarity! =D

More similarities coming up: The victim is a rich person who suspects people without evidence. I shall not reveal his name as the subject is under 18 (or maybe he doesn't deserve to have a place on my blog). The suspect(s), who all have a perfectly sound alibi, are innocent bystanders framed by some criminal mastermind, and interrogations are made in private. Can you still deny that today was not a crime scene investigation?

But there are major differences: The motto for this court of law is "guilty until proven innocent", much unlike the proverbial "innocent until proven guilty". I mean, how can an innocent suspect ever hope to find the culprit and prove his innocence?

The verdict would come out tomorrow.. while the victim wishes for his losses to be reimbursed. I mean, come on.. he's worth close to a billion dollars ONLY! Oh yea, another point: The accused believes that not only ONE person is involved in the crime, a whole GANG is. o.0 Riiight.

I do think Wen Zheng's friends (namely everyone else) would love to uphold justice and stand by his side. We are insanely outraged, you realize??!! As Wen Zheng said, "Drop the case la, ______." Which he did. Literally.

I'm still sick, by the way. But I shall make it to school tomorrow to show some camaraderie and take the TA. =.= I need some SLEEP.. did you know I slept at around 10 last night and I'm still exhausted? I mean, there almost totally no difference in energy level haiz...

Oh, and Rye called me emo today. I wonder whether I should be happy or enraged or crazy or sad or tired. Hmm...

Night!

Rugby for PE =.=

This year's rugby module did not live up to my expectations. All we did was scrums, and a bit of fake tag rugby, then we progressed immediately onto "modified" 7-a-side contact. =.= We did not even learn: line-outs, hand-offs, passing, kicking and so on.. Even tackling and scrumming practice was inadequate. In addition to that, the games were very disorganized. Many people were not interested in playing so the game literally broke down.. And then the few enthu people were left solo-ing the whole pitch. =.=

I think our batch is the most unlucky one -- the previous and current batch all learned tag rugby in Sec 1, so they could immediately progress to contact but due to a shortage of facilities, we did not learn tag rugby when we were Sec 1. Haiz.. T^T But never mind, I look forward to playing softball, even if rugby was a bit short.. Softball should be fun!

Asthma SUCKS

Sheesh.. I just realized how bad my asthma has gotten. =.= I can hardly play soccer without breathing difficulties.. haiz. Looks like I can't go for rugby training tomorrow then.. =(

But let's stop whining! Lol just now I accidentally kicked my soccer ball and it hit the tiling of the walkway =X I must definitely practice my free kicks.. dun wan that to happen during the interclass soccer tournament! Oh yea, I leveled twice in RuneScape today HAHA. I noe I'm damn lame, playing this game, but I'm boliao la.. Nothing to do realli.

That's it for today.. Nitezzz

Easter!

Easter! Today's church was extremely funny lol.. The pastor went to shave his head so as to demonstrate the meaning of total change. A story: When Jesus was resurrected, Mary of Magdala did not recognize him until he spoke. The same went for our pastor this morning. xD He shaved off all of his facial hair then nobody recognized him diao. =.= Moreover when he said that we should reflect Jesus' actions then he cracked a corny joke about him reflecting more than others. =.= =.= He then said something about us going through transformation during baptism and so on.. I still don't understand some parts -- too cheem xD

Well... we went for lunch. And then I stay home play computer games lalala... ^^

Rye wants me to be less boliao on my blog o.0 Like, write emo poems and pen (type) down emo thoughts. =.= Maybe when I have nothing to do next time la. Right now its perfectly fine using it as a diary =D I go play soccer le later come back continue blogging ba. Till we meet again! -.-

Weird day o.0

Today was weird, with all due respect.

I got lost in the morning.. until I realised my form teacher had taken my class over to another classroom for class interaction! =.=

Geog was ok la.. we did some kinda quiz on Google Earth images of Singapore. I'm not very good at Google Earth, so there.

English was.. next to useless. Jiarong evidently suggested a computer-based lesson, which pissed Mrs. Nathan off so much that she let him take the class. And when he was trying to teach us something meaningful, she got so fed up she walked out. Literally. So Jiarong went to call her back and we continued the lesson. Not much after that though..

Philo was fun. Discussed about the differences and similarities between Confucius' and Aristotle's Virtue Ethics. It's amazing how two different people from two different countries from two different times can come up with virtually the exact same concept!

History was disappointing. As in I was disappointed in my history score. 9/13 and therefore I failed History, having gotten 6/20 for the first test. Haiz.. Then Adi went and got so pissed that some people went to jeer at him and then Ms. Keh got so pissed and scolded the class. Today is a real piss-off day.

CLE was a bit boring; we were discussing integrity and how it is the basis of all other values such as respect. But we survived. xD

Malay was slack: One dictation and one worksheet! So let off liao le haha. And finally we finished the computer assignment! Thanks to Ji'An.

Before dinner I still had some spare time so I was... doing PT! Don't blame me PT is fun.. climbing stairs, plank, crunches, pushups etc etc... =D

Now I'm at the computer fighting the urge to go and sleep.. or maybe I won't! Seeya another time, then!

Today was fun(ny), as every other day is. ^^

Chinese was boring, actually. Thank God there was a relief teacher for Song (Who was at the RICO SYF) (I haven't done her homework =X), but 2 chang wen suo duans?! That's overdoing it. Lucky I never forget how to do xD

Double Eng/lit. Siaaaaaan. But seriously folks, even Mrs. Nathan was bored. Apparently she had a throbbing headache, and so once her dissection of Mayella Ewell (I meant crosss-examination sorry) was over, like, go hangman lor ^^ Big mistake for me. I meant to get them guess Shunsuke NakaMura but then go say no M. BLOOPER xD.

Chem is FUN. There's no other word for it. It's fun. Covalent bonding is so enthralling that I almost fell alseep in class! Whoops did I say that? I meant covalent bonding is confusing. And as most of you may or may not know, my brain shuts down if something is too taxing on it. So there. But overall Chem is FUN. There's no denying it ^^

Math was worse o.0 Inverse variation? I hope I get it, but direct variation was already as complicated as it could possibly be. But look on the good point: it's supposed to help us in our JC life xD

Art was impressive. Pun intended =D We were studying impressionism and apparently people before really modern art loved to draw *ahem* pictures. Luncheon on the Grass, Liberty leading the People. Oh, come on! Have some decency.. Luckily certain other people weren't like that, like the guy who spent his lifetime (or almost all of it) next to the River Seine drawing still life! I like still life btw (random). I mean, 18 MILLION BUCKS for A PAINTING?! Imba-ness.

Afterwards stoned for about 4 hours? xD Supposed to go support rugby match but I decided to stay in school and slack =X Thankfully they won 32-10, or else coach would've been extremely pissed off. I mean, last year he said we're never going to play in the plate EVER. And here is the team playing in, you guessed it, the Plate. =.=

It's late and I'm tired so off I go to my comfy bed! Byeee!
